Matha Self-Help Group, one of 775 SHGs promoted and strengthened by ABCD NGO, brings together rural women to build financial security and mutual support.
Through training in savings, group management, and financial literacy, the members have learned to manage their funds confidently. With access to credit and bank linkage, they are now better prepared to meet household needs, handle emergencies, and support each other in times of crisis.
Even without formal enterprises, Matha SHG stands as a strong example of how collective effort can improve lives and build lasting resilience.
With ABCD NGO’s loan support, I got a milching cow that provides steady income. Selling milk helps my family meet daily needs and gives us financial stability. This support changed our lives.
Farming has always been my livelihood, but water scarcity made it hard to continue. Traditional crops demanded more than I could give. That’s when the ABCD NGO stepped in and showed me a better path—organic moringa farming.
Moringa was the perfect fit. It needs very little water and can survive in dry conditions. With their help, I received support for pest control and got linked to Grenera with a buy-back guarantee. For the first time, I wasn’t just growing—I was earning with confidence.
Now, even with limited water, my land is productive. I’ve found a sustainable way to farm, thanks to ABCD NGO’s timely intervention and the dependable market support from Grenera.
I still remember the day we moved into our new house, built with the support of ABCD NGO and CAPART. It was over 30 years ago, but that moment changed everything for our family. Before that, we lived in a hut that couldn’t withstand the rains.
This house gave us stability. I was able to focus on work, my children went to school without worrying about shelter, and we lived with dignity. Today, I’m proud to say that the same house still stands strong—and my grandchildren now play in the same courtyard where my children once did.
A good home isn’t just about walls and a roof—it’s about security, hope, and opportunity. ABCD NGO gave us that, and we’ll never forget it.
When I first heard about organic farming, it felt like a big risk. But with ABCD NGO's support, I attended training programs, learned proper techniques, and most importantly—I was connected to Grenera through a market linkage initiative.
Now, I grow organic moringa leaves with confidence. I receive support for plant maintenance, especially pest control, and the buy-back guarantee from Grenera ensures my harvest is sold at a fair price.
Farming is no longer uncertain. It’s become a sustainable livelihood. I feel proud to be a woman farmer who earns from clean, healthy cultivation, supporting every step of the way.
I grew up in a house built by ABCD NGO and CAPART nearly 30 years ago. Back then, my parents were struggling—we had no proper shelter. That house changed everything for us. It gave us safety, comfort, and a sense of belonging.
Today, I’m raising my own two sons in the same house. It’s not just a structure—it’s where our family’s journey toward stability began. We’ve painted it, repaired it, and added little things over time, but the foundation remains strong—just like the support we received.
Thanks to that one act of support, we’ve had a life of possibility. I’m proud to say that our story started with ABCD NGO.
